NEW COACHING REGULATIONS

The Iowa High School Athletic Association and the Iowa Girl's Athletic Union have adopted new golf regulations dealing with coaching of players. These regulations will start in the Spring 2014 season.

IAHSGCA ANNOUNCE THEIR
CLASS 4A PLAYER & COACH OF THE YEAR

The Iowa High School Golf Coaches Association has announced that Ankeny Centennial Coach Jon Olson has been named their Boy's Class 4A Coach of the Year while Sr. Jeff Swegle from West Des Moines Valley has been named their Boy's Class 4A Player of the Year.

Jon coached Ankeny Centennial, which opened for the first time this Fall, to the Boy's Class 4A State Championship.

Jeff had the low individual adjusted score of 35.96 this fall. He placed 6th @ State shooting 78-78=156.

2014 BOY'S STATE TOURNAMENT
SITES ANNOUNCED

The Iowa High School Athletic Association has announced the sites of all classes for the 2014 State tournaments.

ACADEMIC ALL-STATE TEAM

The Iowa High School Golf Coaches Association has created the criteria for an Academic All-State team.

Class 4A coaches have until Dec. 1st to complete the application form.

CLASS 4A BOY'S ALL-STATE & ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAMS
ANNOUNCED

Jeff Swegle, Senior from West Des Moines Valley, who had the low adjusted scoring average for the season, leads the 2013 Class 4A Boy's All-State team.

State medalist, Griffen Matthias from state champion Ankeny Centennial, leads the 2013 Class 4A All-tournament team.

FINAL CLASS 4A BOY'S RANKINGS
ARE POSTED

West Des Moines Dowling had the low team adjusted season average of 151.90 to lead the Class 4A Boy's team rankings.

Senior Jeff Swegle from West Des Moines Valley, had the low individual adjusted season scoring average of 35.96.

NOMINATIONS ARE DUE

Player of the Year & Coach of the Year nominations for Class 4A are due Wed. Oct 16th.

These forms can be located by using the "Forms" drop down menu located at top of screen.

Forms need to be sent to RJ Voss in Ames.

2012 SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS

Winners of the IAHSGCA's 2012 scholarships need top send the address of their college's financial aid office to RJ Voss @ Ames High School so your money can be sent.
