Jerry was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2009.

Jerry coached boy’s & girl’s golf for 22 years and finished with a coaching record of 732-315. He started the golf programs at Anita (CAM) and Clear Creek (Clear Creek-Amana). While at Anita, he took 2 boy’s teams to State with his 1979 team finishing 5^th. While at Clear Creek, he took 1 individual and 1 boy’s team to State. Jerry also coached at City High in Iowa City. He took 1 boy to State, finishing 6^th, and 2 girls teams to State – his 2006 team finishing 5^th. His 2005 & 2006 girl’s team won the MVC titles for the first time in school history.

Jerry served as President for the Iowa High School Golf Coaches Association from 2006-2008. He currently is their web master.
