Sharon is the only four time girl's State medalist in the history of girl's golf in Iowa.

Sharon won her titles in 1958, 1959, 1960, & 1961 while playing for Dubuque Senior. Sharon also holds the record for lowest 18 hole medalist score when she shot 73 in 1959. In fact, Sharon has the three lowest medalist scores with the 76 she shot in 1959 along with her score of 77 in 1961.

Sharon was also a four time Iowa Junior Champion. She won the Iowa Women's Am. three times. Placed second in the USGA National Juniors.

Sharon (Smallwood - married name) lives in Elm Grove, Wisconsin.

Sharon's sister, Jacque, is also in the Hall of Fame as a player.
