Jim coached boy's & girls golf at West Branch. During that time, his
boy's team had a record of 757-123-2. They won 7 Eastern Iowa Hawkeye
Conference titles, 9 Sectional titles, 6 District titles, and qualified
for 9 State tournaments. Of those 9 appearances, they won 4 State
titles. From 1988-1992, Jim's team was undefeated going 290-0. In 1993 &
1996, Jim was named Iowa High School Golf Coach of the Year. In 1996,
Jim was the Region 6 High School Golf Coach of the Year.
Jim was elected to the Iowa High School Golf Coaches Association Hall of
Fame in 2005. |
