Bob Fessler


Coach Fessler started his coaching career at Walnut Ridge Academy in Waterloo, (1997-2002) where his record was 161 - 54. His teams competed in 2 state tournaments and won 3 conference championships.

Bob has been coaching golf at Pella HS since 2003 when he arrived at the school. Bob was Head Girls coach from 2008 -2011, and Asst. Boys coach from 2003- 2011. Bob took over the Pella Boys program in 2012 after Hall of Fame Member Gifford Graham retired following the 2011 season.

In his first year, the team went 58-10 on the season. Winning Conference, Sectional and District Championships, and finishing 5th in the 3A state tournament field. Coach Fessler is 219 -64 overall going into the 2013 season.

Bob teaches Health and Physical Education. Bob has served as President of the Iowa Girls Coaches Association, and is the current Iowa Girls Coaches Association Volleyball Chairman.

Bob is married (Deb) who teaches first grade in Pella, and has 2 grown children. Ben (22) who plays college golf at AIB in Des Moines, and Brooke (20) who plays volleyball for the University of Northern Iowa.
