Duane Nevenhoven

Duane was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2011.

Duane coached boys’ golf at Aplington High School (later Aplington-Parkersburg) for 22 years. He took 3 teams from Aplington and 5 from Aplington-Parkersburg to State, winning the 1994 State championship. All other records were destroyed during the Parkersburg tornado but Duane believes he had between 700 and 750 victories while winning many conference, sectional, and district titles.

Duane served two terms on the Iowa High School Athletic Association’s golf advisory board.

Duane is also a member of the Iowa Girl’s Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame.
