Christi was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2009.

Christi Athas played high school golf at Eldora-New Providence (E-NP).  She was the overall state champion in 2001, 2002, & 2003.  She placed third in Class 1A in 2000.   She was four time all conference, four time district medalist, and three time regional medalist.  Christi is the record holder in 7 categories at E-NP including the most medals won in a career at 61 and most medals won in a season at 19.  She also has the best meet stroke average for the season at 36.6.

She was the Iowa Player of the Year in 2000 & 2001.  She won the IWGA Girl’s Tournament in 2001.  She won three PGA Jr. Series events and won one AJGA All Star Series tournament & had a third place finish at the AJGA John Deere Classic.  She won the FCWT Irish Shootout and finished second in the FCWT Midwest Tour Classic.  She was also named second team All American by the Future Collegiate World Tour.  

She qualified for the USGA U.S. Women’s Amateur and the U.S. Women’s Publinks in 2005 & 2006.  She won her first round matches in both the U.S. Publinks and U.S. Amateur in 2005, also placed 17th in the medal play at the 2005 U.S. Women’s Amateur.  Christi also played in two Women’s Trans National Championships in 2004 & 2005. Christi also played in two IWGA Women’s Amateurs placing second in 2005 and third in 2006.
