Barb Thomas Whitehead




Barb was elected to the Player’s Hall of Fame in 2011.

Barb won high school medalist honors in 1978 & 1979 while attend Sibley High School. She was also the Girl’s medalist at the State Co-Ed tournament both years.

After high school, Barb attended Iowa State University where she earned First Team All American honors in the spring of 1980. In the fall of 1980, she transferred to Tulsa University where in 1982, she helped them win both the AIAW & NCAA tournaments.  Barb finished 3rd individually in the NCAA tournament in 1982.

Barb earned her LPGA Tour card in the fall of 1983. While on tour, she earned more than $946,000 winning the Hawaiian Ladies Open in 1995. Barb was a member of the LPGA Executive Committee from 1998-2000.
