Bill Hoefle




Bill was inducted into the Player’s Hall of Fame in 2013.

Bill played high school golf at Ames High School where he was the State medalist in the Spring 1986 and Fall 1986. IN the summer of 1987 Bill placed 2nd National Insurance Youth Championship.

After high school, Bill played college golf at Oklahoma State. While at OSU, Bill won the  Morris Williams Invitational Champion (University of Texas Invitational) in 1992 and was named Academic All-American in 1992 & 1993.

After college (1994-2000) Bill played professionally in numerous Hooters Tour events, Nike Tour events and 1 PGA Tour event.

After working 4 years as a broker in the financial industry, Bill now lives in Marion, Iowa and is a business teacher, golf and basketball coach at Linn Mar High School.  He continues to play professional golf during the summers and teaches golf.  His wife, Mary, is a pharmacist in the Cedar Rapids area and they have 2 children, Abby, 9 and Nate, 7.
