** Player of the Year**

Andrew Johannsen, Senior from Johnston completed his high school career with a repeat Player of the Year award! Andrew finished the season ranked #1 in the Final Rankings for the IAHSGCA and then was the State Medalist at Hyperion in the State Tournament by 1 stroke! Congratulations Andrew on a fantastic senior year and a great career. Good luck in the future!!

** Co - Coaches of the Year **

This year we are awarding Co-Coaches of the Year

The first recipient is Ron Gray from Dowling Catholic. The Maroons finished the season with a W / L record of 86 wins and 19 losses and a 148.99 team average and ranked #5. They put it all together at Hyperion and won the State Tournament by 10 strokes! Congratulations Coach Gray and your entire team!!

The 2nd recipient of COY of the year goes to Mike Nedelcoff from Pleasant Valley. The Spartans finished the season ranked #1 with a 145.32 team average. They had a W / L record of 86 wins and only 1 loss and finished 4th at the State Tournament. Congratulations Coach Nedelcoff and your entire team!!

***Coach of the Year: Carson Hattel, Johnston - team finished ranked 2nd in the final IAHSGCA rankings with a 146.33 average and had a 110 - 10 won / loss record. Joshston completed their season with a State Championship by 5strokes at Briarwood GC in Ankeny. Congratulations to Carson Hattel on Coach of the Year!!

Valley was District Champs at Fort Dodge CC and capped off their season with a State Championship at Otter Creek GC in Ankeny. Congratulations to Philip Conover on Coach of the Year!!

**Player of the Year: Owen Howe, Senior - Johnston - Owen was both 1st team All-Tournament and 1st team All-State this past Fall. Owen finished the season ranked #10 with a 37.38 average and capped off his fine senior season with an individual State Championship at Otter Creek GC in Ankeny with a 2 day total of even par 142!! Congratulations to Owen Howe on Player of the Year!!

We have 3 winners for Player of the Year for Fall of 2022:

Reid Hall, Junior - Cedar Rapids Kennedy; Max Tjoa, Senior - Cedar Falls; & Owen Sawyer, Senior - Cedar Falls

Reid completed his Fall season Ranked 14th in the Final Rankings with a 37.46 avg and then capped it off with a State Championship firing rounds of 71-70 at Elmcrest CC. Congrats on a great season Reid!

Max was the #1 ranked player in the State on the Final Rankings with 35.71 avg and tied for 10th State. Congrats to Max on a great season!

Owen was the #2 ranked player in the State on the Final Rankings with a 35.81 avg and tied for 3rd at State. Congrats to Owen of a great season!

The Coach of the Year for Fall of 2022 goes to Carson Hattel of Johnston. Carson's team finished the season ranked 2nd in the State on the Final Rankings and had a Final Record of 98 wins and 5 losses. Johnston then capped off a spectacular Fall season with a State Championship at Elmcrest Country Club!! Congratulations to Carson Hattel...Coach of the Year!!
